Child Passenger Safety Week
Description
Every 34 seconds one child under age 13 is involved in a crash. Many times deaths and injuries can be prevented by proper use of car seats, boosters, and seat belts.
Child Passenger Safety Week: September 18-24, 2016
National Seat Check Saturday: September 24, 2016
Events are happening all across Florida this week to promote the safety of our children in automobiles. See the list of Fitting Stations or the OPRC Event Calendar for an event near you. (Techs are welcome to contact the event planner to assist in fittings.)
CPS Week Campaign Materials from NHTSA are available now.
Resources are also available to print from our website's Heatstroke Safety links page and the Print Ready Resources listing.
NHTSA Media Spreadsheet
NHTSA compiles and presents CPS Week information for each state. Download the spreadsheet and send to the Florida OPRC for compilation and submittal to FDOT->NHTSA.
