Child Safety Seat Program

The FDOT provides funding to purchase child safety seats for nationally certified child passenger safety technicians (CPSTs) who distribute these seats to parents and caregivers in need.  

How to order child safety seats: 

1. Become a nationally certified CPST. (Please allow 2-3 days to set up your new account).  
2. Register: Create an account and complete the Child Safety Seat Agreement. 
3. Shop: Browse the store and place your order (shipping is free). Please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery.

Florida nationally certified CPST/Is may order up to 6 car seats for qualified events which include:  
• Car seat event held in conjunction with a CPST Certification Course 
• Car seat event in a FDOT priority county 
• Car seat event held during National CPS Week (September 20–26, 2026)
