Materials Available to Order; New Reporting for Materials

Materials are now available to order at no charge from the Florida OPRC. New reporting requirements are in effect for all items ordered; see this summary on material ordering and reporting.

Scholarships for the Safe Kids fee for Child Passenger Safety Certification fees are available. There are no updates on child safety seats or instructor stipends at this time.

The Child Safety Seat Monthly Reporting Form will be updated next week to better reflect the misuse errors in the current Safe Kids curriculum. In place of the current four categories will be these five:

• Selection:  (Did the caregiver choose the right seat for their child?)
• Direction: (Is the seat facing the right way in the vehicle?)
• Location: (Is the seat installed in an appropriate location in the vehicle?)
• Installation: (Is the seat secured to the vehicle in the right way?)
• Harnessing: (Is the child placed correctly in the seat with the harness?)
