Back To School: Transport School Children Safely in a Child Restraint

08/01/2014

Children age 5 and up are preparing for public school to begin all across Florida this month. Add to that pre-kindergarten students, which equals many 4-5 year olds who will be required to be transported safely in child restraints as of January 1, 2015.

Back to School events happening all this month would be a great place to have a CPS fitting station and promote the revised law.  Remind caregivers of the new law this month while their child is getting ready for big-kid school. They’ll love to sit in their big-kid booster or other child restraint to keep them safely protected in a motoring vehicle.
