The CPS Technical Updates was a major information intake for technicians as speakers from Chicco, Evenflo, Graco, Safe Traffic Systems, and Volkswagen presented hot topics for CEU credit. For those that could not attend, download this CEU handout from the National Child Passenger Safety Board to help you earn CPST CEUs and Community Education credit needed for recertification. Another live event should be planned for next grant year. From October 1, 2017 – February 28, 2018, the OPRC shipped 18,621 items to Florida citizens to educate communities on seat belts, air bags, and car seats! Of those items only 3,028 items have been reported as distributed to the public. Remember to report on your materials after your events; if you do not have official “events” please report by month. Report your items by going to your OPRC account webpage, login, then scroll to the bottom to click on “Report” next to your order. If you did not distribute all items, the system will prompt you to enter your next event. Print items do not need signature pages, only for you to enter the number that you distributed. (The “upload” function is being worked on currently.) CPS Instructors: Don’t forget that we have an instructor stipend for teaching the CPS Technician Refresher courses this year.
