Safety Belt Usage Sets Record; Safe Kids Scholarships Available

FDOT announced results from the 2017 Safety Belt Use in Florida report in last week’s FDOT press release. Florida set an all-time record for safety belt usage with a compliance rate exceeding 90 percent!

Scholarships are available to pay for Safe Kids certification-related fees. Terms were updated for this grant year; see the scholarship application for more information.

When the time comes to recertify as a technician, getting the required seat check-offs can be challenging. Instructors are not the only ones who can complete seat check-offs; technicians can be also be certified to complete seat check-offs by becoming a Technician Proxy. More information can be found on the OPRC scholarships webpage.
