Child Safety Seat Distribution Program

The Florida Department of Transportation Safety Office funds the purchase and distribution of car seats to trained/qualified Child Passenger Safety (CPS) instructors and technicians. Car seats, along with a demonstration of proper fitting and function, are available to individuals who meet and sign the Car Seat Eligibility Certification Form. Participants are encouraged to share resources to meet their area needs.

To receive car seats under the program: 

• Become a trained/qualified Child Passenger Safety professional
• Register on FDOT's CPS listing from the National Safe Kids database
• Complete the Child Safety Seat Recipient Agreement Form
